Students will gain an understanding on the importance of limiting screen time (watching TV, playing on the computer, video games, etc.) while learning to become more physically active.

Lesson Progression
After watching Healthy Hannah’s Healthy Choice Heroes repeat the question asked by Healthy Hannah: Are you limiting your screen time to 2 hours or less each day? What can you do to be more physically active everyday? Have students answer each question
Objective 1: Vocabulary Words Screen time
Objective 2: Describe ways to be physically active and limit screen time. Activity: Mini games. Brainstorm with the class different ways to be physically active and limit screen time. Take the class outside, or to the gym, and play mini games like hula hooping, jump roping, shooting free throws or kicking soccer goals, and use the chalk/tape to make a hopscotch board. You can use the ones listed, or make up your own.
