Primary Message: Physical activity is important everyday
Secondary Message: Stretching after activity to prevent stiffness/injury is important

After watching Healthy Hannah’s Healthy Choice Heroes: Aerobic vs. Anaerobic, repeat the question asked by Healthy Hannah: What aerobic exercise do you choose to do? Have kids answer the question

Objective 1: Vocabulary Words
Have students define the following: Aerobic exercise/activity and Anaerobic exercise/activity

Objective 2: Differentiate between aerobic and anaerobic activity.
Activity: Aerobic or Anaerobic? The teacher will go over the difference between aerobic and anaerobic activity with the class. The teacher will then write two categories on the board “Aerobic” and “Anaerobic.” Ask the students to suggest activities and write them on the board according to type. (See Resource Material)

Objective 3: Explain to others why it is important to be physically active everyday or most days.
Activity: Physical Activity Journal. Have the students use a google document to keep a journal of how often they are physically active in a week. Tell them they need to tell their parents and other peers about the importance of physical activity. The students should also engage in physical activity with others and make note of this in their journals. Each day of the week, give students the chance to enter into their google document or share it with parents as an assignment to complete at home. At the end of a week, have them evaluate the results to see whether they are getting 60 minutes of physical activity everyday or most days of the week.
