This program presents Camille Saint-Saëns’ beloved masterpiece The Carnival of the Animals in a vibrant, multi-arts celebration. Featuring the South Carolina Philharmonic under the direction of Morihiko Nakahara, each movement of the piece is enriched with an original poem by Columbia, SC Poet Laureate Jennifer Bartell Boykin. Every poem is performed alongside artwork created by talented students from Fort Dorchester High School, adding a powerful visual dimension to the music and poetry.
