Objective #1: Vocabulary words
Define: Nutrients, Physical Activty, Replenish
Objective #2: Dance Party
Choose different music clips and have students create dance moves to go with the type of music playing. Or allow students to create simple dance moves for the entire class (including YOU!) to try.
Objective #3: Research why the body needs physical activity - Discuss with the class reasons they may already know. Make a list together. Then allow students to google search "why the body needs physical activity?" Or direct them to a specific website. See if they can find other reasons. Then discuss and add those reasons to your class list.
Objective #4: Explain why it is important to replenish nutrients after activity. (See After Activity - Teacher Reference). Allow the students to complete the google form - After Activity.
Additional Activity - track the amount of activity the class gets AT school for one day. Assign a student to chart the minutes on the board. See how many the class gets together in a typical day. (ex. brain breaks, recess, PE, dance party activity, etc.).
