  • Blades fold lengthwise into 2 hinged lobes
  • Lobes are green outside and orange inside
  • Nectar secreting glands and stout marginal hairs on leaf edges attract prey
  • Habitats are typically acidic, boggy and lacking in minerals, especially nitrogen
  • Endangered species status in North Carolina and South Carolina
