  • Immature bird resembles adult except for gray head 
  • Fond of groves of dead or dying trees 
  • Often fly-catch 
  • Also store nuts and acorns in tree holes and crevices 
  • Habitats include open country, farms, rural roads, open park-like woodland and golf courses
