• Member of coffee family
• Also called Trailing Bluet or Innocence
• Perennial herb with shallow roots
• Low-growing loose tufts 10 - 15 cm tall
• White flowers bloom from July to early August
• Flower produces many-seeded capsules
• High elevation habitats include cliffs, outcrops, and steep slopes
• Threatened by residential and recreational developments
• Endangered species, Federal Register April 5, 1990
