• Sometimes called "Jasamer" in South Carolina
• Other common names are Woodbine, Carolina, Evening Trumpet Flower
• South Carolina's state flower
• Woody climbing vine with pleasant fragrance
• Delicate funnel-shaped yellow flowers grow to an inch in diameter
• Glossy evergreen leaves opposite and untoothed
• Flowers, leaves and roots are poisonous
• Habitats include thickets, dry woods and sandy areas
