After brief introduction by host Bette Jamison, SC Superintendent of Education Jim Rex provides information on the relationship between academics and physical activity.

Then Susan Collier, MS, RD, LD with DHEC hosts a discussion with Jill Pfankuch, MS, CHES, Physical Activity Coordinator with DHEC Division of Obesity and Prevention Control, and C. We then learn about programs in schools across our state to get students more active, followed by a discussion with Steve Hooker, Ph.D., Director of The Prevention Research Center at USC about environmental policy and barriers in our community along with what we as citizens can do.

Jim Headley, CPRP, Executive Director of the SC Recreation and Parks Association, and Paul McCormack, Park Ranger with SC State Parks, then talk with Susan Collier about how accessible recreation areas are to all of us in our state.
