Congaree Swamp (S.C.) Stop 1 - Buffer Zone, And Broad-Headed Skink Lizard

Rudy and Jim visit Congaree Swamp National Monument, a fifteen thousand acre nature preserve. This naturally protected swamp features a variety of tall hardwood trees.

Buffer Zone - We see that the diversity of trees are drastically different between the Buffer Zone and the Flood Plain. On a nearby log, Rudy and Jim come across a male Broad-Headed Skink lizard.
