Addition and Subtraction

Students will review what they have learned about fractions to create a snack mix.

The students will be solving subtraction story problems and changing the number sentences into addition sentences.

The students will learn strategies to determine the missing number in addition and subtraction equations using numbers within 20.

In this lesson, students will have the opportunity to explore, create their own thinking, and collaborate. Students will work in groups to put together number problems with their sums and differences.

Students will be able to add and subtract numbers fluently to 1,000.
