From Standards to Success: USHC 2 Assessment Design Portfolio

Use this assessment design portfolio to create evidence-centered, EOCEP-style assessment items aligned to USHC Standard 2. Educators design selected-response (SR), evidence-based selected-response (EBSR), and technology-enhanced (TE or TECR) items while aligning each item with the intended Historical Thinking Skill (HTS), content, and Depth of Knowledge (DOK). The portfolio also guides educators in reflecting on how assessment items provide evidence of student understanding and how Performance Level Descriptors (PLDs) can inform interpretation of student performance and instructional support.
