The Roberts family always wanted to do something with the historic photographs they had on hand. With the cooperation of both the Roberts family and the Columbia Museum of Art, the book A True Likeness: The Black South of Richard Samuel Roberts: 1920-1936 was published, along with an exhibit at the museum, to raise awareness of Richard Roberts' works.
