Tomistoma Crocodile | Zoo Minutes

Kaltura

One of the most unusual and little known of the crocodilians is the false gharial, more accurately known as the tomistoma.  This species is known for its narrow snout that is used for catching fish, but fish are not the only thing the tomistoma eats. It also feeds on monkeys to a great extent. This endangered species is restricted to the islands of Sumatra, Borneo and other areas of Indonesia and Malaysia.
