Ms. Ruby Rice Sligh grew up in Hopkins, South Carolina and is a member of Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church. She considers the Congaree her home. She spent time attending a nearby school and shared the story of her baptismal ceremony in Cedar Creek with us.
