On October 1, 1991, The News And Courier merged with The Evening Post, in order to print newspapers which would be bigger and better than their predecessors. This newspaper would become what we know today as The Post And Courier. Today, The Post And Courier remains committed to the economic welfare of the city, the conservation of the environment, and continues to give back to the community in Charleston.
- This indicator was designed to promote inquiry into military and economic policies during World War II, to include the significance of military bases in South Carolina. This indicator was also developed to foster inquiry into postwar economic developments and demographic changes, to include the immigration of Jewish refugees following the Holocaust.
