After a brief introduction by host Bette Jamison, Dr. Donald J. DiPette, Dean USC School of Medicine, gives us an overview of the problem of obesity.

Then Susan Collier, MS, RD, LD with DHEC hosts a discussion about this critical issue with Dr. James Stallworth, Pediatrics, USC School of Medicine and Director of SCICORD, and Erika Kirby, MBA, RD and Director of Division of Obesity Prevention and Control at DHEC.

We learn about how this issue became a focus for our State Legislature, see several “Eat Smart, Move More SC” short segments and then go more in-depth concerning the seven Eat Smart Move More SC themes with ESMMSC Partnership Coordinator Amy Splittgerber, M.Ed.
