Charleston Single House | History of SC Slide Collection

Although known locally as the distinctive "Charleston single house," this building on Ashley Avenue is also a fine example of the Georgian construction style as it was adapted in South Carolina. At the turn of the 20th century, it was the home of W. F. McGrath, president of the South Carolina Railroad.
