Aerial View Of Darlington Town Square | History Of SC Slide Collection

This aerial of the Darlington town square shows the brief juxtaposition of a new courthouse, built in 1969, with the old one (see Darlington Town Square), not yet destroyed. The old city hall was also torn down during this renovation of the center of town, and on the blank wall of the parking lot that occupies its site, Columbia artist Blue Sky has painted a mural of the old town square as it appeared in the 1930s, to remind Darlington citizens of what they have lost.
