2. Students will study La Ropa Sucia - the plot as well as how it uses artistic design and media texts to communicate a message. Break students up into small groups or lead a whole-class discussion.
3. Using Comic Life, Comic Creator, or Storyboard That, students will create their own fotonovela based on an original idea, personal experiences, or a community/social issue and present their creations to their peers.

La Ropa Sucia is a fotonovela produced by ETV and designed to target both Hispanic and non-Hispanic teenagers. The title, which means "Dirty Laundry," is based on the Hispanic adage, "La ropa sucia se lava en casa." ("Dirty laundry is washed at home," or "Don't air your dirty laundry.")
