Part 3 of this edition of History in a Nutshell is about Francis Marion, "The Swamp Fox". Marion was famous for using South Carolina's swamps to hide from the British during the Revolutionary War. British Lieutenant Colonel Banastre Tarleton is first known for referring to Marion as a "Swamp Fox" after failing to catch him during a 26 mile chase. 

This segment concludes with what happened to Andrew Pickens, Thomas Sumter, and Francis Marion after the American Revolution.
