Pinckney Holds to His Beliefs | Powder Magazine Museum

School children portray Charles Pinckney explaining his views on states' rights, and individual freedoms, as they align to the views of the Democratic-Republican Party. Emphasis is placed on his shift of political views from that of the Federalist Party, to which the majority of his family belonged, to the Democratic-Republican Party, which was begun by Thomas Jefferson, and who Charles Pinckney supported.
