Produced in Japanese, this series contains 20 lessons on the beginner level for teachers to use in foreign language science study. In this segment, the East African crowned crane is examined. This bird normally lives anywhere south of the Sahara to the southeastern tip of South Africa. These unique birds learn dances from their parents when they are young. These dances are used in courtship, and the dance consists of bowing, flaring of wings, and leaping into the air.
