The largest of the rattlesnakes is the eastern diamondback. This snake is one of the largest venomous snakes in the world, and it is capable of reaching lengths of more than 8 feet and can weigh up to 30 pounds. Eastern diamondbacks are normally found in the coastal lowlands and long-leaf pine forests from North Carolina to the Florida Keys and west to Louisiana.
