Lesson
Students will conduct a forest health checkup of a local forest area, will take forestry measurements, and will evaluate the ecological services provided by trees and forests.

Matt is the Environmental Education Coordinator for the SC Forestry Commission. In this position, he plans and implements education outreach programs for schools, vocational agriculture classes, 4-H clubs, Scouts, and other civic organizations. He also leads teacher professional development workshops through his work as SC’s Project Learning Tree coordinator. Matt is a certified teacher in SC in Elementary Education, Biology, and Environmental Science & Natural Resources.Lesson
