The students will learn strategies to determine the missing number in addition and subtraction equations using numbers within 20.

Counting Collections of Coins

The students will count collections of coins that include half-dollars, quarters, dimes, nickles, and pennies.

Having a Ball with Number Sense

Students will develop number sense using a giant tens frame and beach balls at the beginning of the lesson and then transition into deeper learning and assessment through differentiated centers.
