Groundsel | The Salt Marsh

Groundsel tree is a shrub that grows to about 8 feet in height, with leaves that often remain greenish into winter. It has alternate leaves, which differs from the opposite leaves of the similar-looking marsh elder. The shrub is known as consumption weed because it was used to treat that disease.
