Equipment Needed:
- Tchoukball
- Tchoukball Rebound Nets
How to Play:
The team with the ball gets a point if:
- The other team does not catch the ball off the rebounder
The other team gets a point if:
- The shooter misses the rebound net when they shoot the ball
- The shooter shoots the ball, and it bounces back, touching them
- The shooter sends the ball into the forbidden zone, before or after it hits the rebound net
Penalties:
A player commits a penalty if he/she:
- Takes more than 3 steps while in possession of the ball
- Makes a fourth pass for his team
- Goes into the forbidden zone while holding the ball
- Drops the ball after it is passed to them
- Voluntarily, or by error, catches a pass from the other team
- Catches a ball off of the rebound net that was shot by one of his teammates
- Blocks the opponents from moving or stops them from freely passing the ball once they have gained possession
Specific Rules
- There are no designed sides (each team may shoot the ball at either rebound net)
- It is illegal to intercept a pass from the other team
- No more than 3 passes before a shot
- No more than 3 steps by a player holding the ball
- No more than 3 seconds holding the ball
Special Zones
- In front of each rebound net is a semi-circle with a three-meter radius, which is called the forbidden zone. A player may not be in the forbidden zone unless he has just shot or passed the ball. Either case, the player’s feet may not be in the forbidden zone if the ball is still in their hands.
