Lesson Progression

Students will follow the directions on the hyperdoc. It is broken apart and explains each activity.

1.) Explore- Students will learn about sensory organs by watching a video and taking notes. If you have any additional resources, they may be added to this section.

2.) Explain-Students will be researching on their own about unique sensory organs found in animals. They will use the website provided in the hyperdoc.

3.) Apply- Students will create their own animal based on the sensory organs and adaptations they researched. They will draw and name the animal. They will also label the different sensory organs and explain how it would help the animal to survive.

Teacher Notes

The easiest way to send this out to students would be through Google Classroom. The students could receive their own copy and make notes as needed. This is very helpful for one to one. You may add directions or extra material as needed. Make sure to get edit access that  you go to "file" and "make a copy"

Assessments

Final animal creation (rubric provided). You may also look over notes taken and the research they collected.
