Lesson Progression
1. Students will watch the following video on Knowitall.org and write 8 facts they learned while watching the video.https://www.knowitall.org/video/great-depression-south-carolinas-greatest-generation
2. Then, students will write a reflection on what they learned from the video. The students should also include their thoughts about the video and the information presented. (1-2 paragraphs)
3. Students will then click on the link below that includes three different interviews of people who discuss their experiences during this time.https://www.stlouisfed.org/the-great-depression/curriculum/interviews
4. Students will choose one of these interviews and take notes on what they learn.
5. After students have chosen an interview and watched it, they will create their own way to present what they learned from the interview. (This can be through a written response with pictures included, a collage with a written response explaining it, a pamphlet, etc.) Students should be creative in choosing how they present the information.

Assessments
Students will be assessed on whether or not they were able to record 8 important facts from the video at the beginning of the lesson and the 1-2 paragraph reflection. Students will also be assessed by a rubric on the project created based on the information they record through the interview they choose.
