Cooperative Learning: Mission Impossible

Object/Goal: The goal of this game is for your team to have the most points by the end of class
 
Rules: All teams will start at the same line (baseline) and must work together in order to get the entire team across the gym to the other side. Each team will be supplied with different equipment and each trip across the court will get progressively more difficult. Each team will work together in order to move and stay on the equipment until they are all the way across the gym. If any body part such as the hand or foot touch the gym floor (floor could be lava or water), the team must start back over at the starting line. All equipment must also make it across the gym with the team or they must start over. This game is best suited for teams of 6-8 and equipment can be varied based on team sizes.
 
Equipment: Jump ropes, hula hoops, poly spots, bean bags, and anything else you might find appropriate
 
Extensions/Modifications: First allow them to speak and then removing the privilege after finishing round one, removing equipment after each round to make it more difficult, adding “rivers” and other hazards on the course.
