The SC Poultry Festival typically occurs during May in Batesburg, South Carolina. There are many activities including singing, dancing, musical performances, athletic races, cooking contests, a beauty pageant, and crafts. The festival seeks to promote and highlight a huge industry in South Carolina: the poultry industry. It is sponsored by many local businesses, small and large and has become a large event over the years. The event draws not only the local community, but a crowd from all over South Carolina.
