Wood Canoe - Finishing Hull | A Natural State - Episode 3

Kaltura

Finished hulls appear as rich warm-toned boats encased in a layer of glass. The finish is the result of hours of sanding and polishing the epoxy layers on the outside of the hull. A fairing board is the primary tool used in the process. Eventually, the boat is lifted from its form and the process of finishing continues on the inside of the boat. Final finishing and trim work may take a thousand hours of work.
