Lena Braswell's Farm | A Natural State - Episode 7

Kaltura

During the spring, tens of thousands of dried gourds are piled high in front of Lena Braswell's farm in Wrens, Georgia. Artists and crafters come from around the southeast to choose from Braswell's stockpile of gourds, often filling their trunks and truck beds. Farming has been a part of Lena Braswell's family for generations. Gourds help pay the bills and remind Lena of a time when nature provided for an agrarian existence.
