Produced in French, this series contains 20 lessons on the beginner level for teachers to use in foreign language science study. An adult African penguin is approximately 27 inches tall, and it weighs 7 to 8 pounds. This penguin is located along offshore islands and occasionally on the mainland of southeast South Africa, and on the South African west coast. Unfortunately, this species is listed as vulnerable due to commercialized egging in the 18th and 19th centuries, man’s over-fishing, and oil pollution.
