Lesson Progression
1. T: Good morning class! Today we are going to be discussing two syllable words, and how we can break words into syllables.
2. The teacher will show two syllable words on the board and have students repeat the words back while counting out the syllables on their fingers.
3. After the teacher has reviewed two syllable words as a class, the students will watch a video explaining how to separate words into syllables by watching a video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9S7DY2lgJlU (00:00-02:40).
4. After students have watched the video, they will go back to their desk and work on a syllable worksheet.
5. Once students have completed their worksheets, they will review the worksheets with their tables.
The teacher will review worksheet as a class after giving students a few minutes to review together.
