Lesson Progression

1. Read the story 'We're Going on a Nature Hunt' by Steve Metzger to get students thinking about common natural resources they see every day. 

2. Follow the PowerPoint as you create an open discussion around natural resources. 

3. After the introduction watch the video. Have a deeper discussion about natural resources at the end of the video. 

4. Review the information that was taught in the lesson. 

5. Have students create a Flipgrid sharing what they learned about natural resources. 

Assessments

The students will be assessed through the questioning that takes place during the lesson. Students will also be assessed through the Flipgrid they create and if they are able to show that they understand what they learned about natural resources.
