Lesson Overview
After watching KidsECON Episode 1, "The Grocery Store," the students will identify and compare wants and needs, explain how wants and needs change over time, explain why people have jobs, and describe the economic benefits for self and community. The students will complete a series of learning activities involving vocabulary cards, whole-group and individual sorting, sentence starters writing, and for emergent readers, complete short, predictable, patterned phrases.
