- The teacher will have the students come to the carpet and pull up the PowerPoint.
- T: Today we are going to go over our ou/ ow words, and review cause and effect as we read this week’s story Head, Body, Legs: A Story from Liberia.
- T: We are going to start off by going over ou/ ow words.
- The teacher will go over phoneme categorization
- The teacher will go over blending words with /ou/ sounds
- T: Now, we are going to go over cause and effect. We are going to look for causes and effects throughout the story Head, Body, Legs: A Story From Liberia to help us better understand the plot.
- The teacher will go over cause and effect.
- The teacher will go over folktales and look at cause and effect chart.
- The teacher will begin a shared reading of Head, Body, Legs: A Story From Liberia.
- Teacher and students will fill out cause and effects throughout the story together using help chart.
