Lesson Progression

1. The teacher will begin the lesson by explaining the difference between a good and a service
2. Students will have an opportunity to name and write examples of goods and services on the smart board
3. After the teacher explains the concept, the students will be split into two teams. These teams can be chosen by the teacher, or the students could pick depending on the teacher’s preference.
4. Students will stand in a line with their team, and one member from each team will step forward, look at the photo displayed on the Smartboard (PowerPoint) and determine whether the photo is of a good or of a service.
5. If the student gets the answer right, then he/she will get to toss two rings into their team's bucket getting an opportunity to earn their team two points. If the student gets the answer wrong, then he/she can still toss the rings but will only get a chance to earn one point for their team. The point system can also be altered depending on teacher preference.
6. Then one member from the other team will step forward and repeat the same process.
7. These steps will reoccur until every member of both teams has had a chance to identify a good and a service.
