Lesson Progression
- The teacher will introduce the topic of goods and services. See if students can identify what they are and give examples if possible.
- Afterward, the teacher will show students the video on Goods and Services.
- After the video, allow time for students to discuss what they learned. The class will create a chart together highlighting goods and services from the video.
- Next, begin going through the PowerPoint. Start by reviewing the definitions of ‘good’ and ‘service’. Challenge students to identify "goods" located in the classroom.
- Continue through the PowerPoint and have students ‘Name That Service’. Show students the pictures on each slide and have them guess which service it might pair with. Be sure to focus on the fact that each service listed is actually a job. Proceed through the PowerPoint and discuss other jobs that are considered Services.
- To conclude the lesson, play the game at the end of the PowerPoint slide called ‘Good or Service?’
