Lesson Overview
Students will conduct a fun and foamy investigation using common household substances to observe firsthand if mixing them together creates something entirely new. Through hands-on experimentation and careful observation, they will gather evidence to determine whether a physical or chemical change has occurred.
Essential Question
When we mix things like hydrogen peroxide and yeast, do they just mix together, or do they make completely new stuff?
