This is a holiday that promotes the health and welfare of the livestock population in the United States which include 9 billion chickens, 244 million turkeys, 93 million cows, 65 million hogs and 6 million sheep. The livestock industry is known to be cruel and containing various hardships for the animals. Celebrate this holiday by educating yourself on the livestock industry.
