About the Speaker

ETV’s Lynn Cornfoot explains how she first got interested in filmmaking as a child. She also demonstrates some of the cameras used in broadcast television and discusses what it’s like to be a woman in the business of videography.

In partnership with the National Science Foundation, the Girl Scouts of America, and community schools and groups, in 2005 ETV hosted a science festival that stimulated and encouraged middle school girls' interest in science, technology, engineering and math careers. The 2005 Science Splash was a girl's odyssey of hands-on science and math activities, speakers, shows and exhibits—all designed to educate, inspire, stimulate and entertain middle school girls ages 10-14.
