"Tuk" Music, Part 5 (1999) - Episode 5

Kaltura

“Tuk” music is a uniquely Barbadian form of music that developed as a result of severe restrictions placed on the African slaves by their plantation owners. “Tuk” music lives on today, thanks to the international band known as “Ruk-a-Tuk.”  Tuk is a mixture of European marching music, combined with African rhythms.
