Magnolia Plantation was the home of the Drayton family for over 300 years. The house standing today is the third home built on the site, since the first two homes were destroyed by fire.

Today, Magnolia Plantation is regarded as having the continent’s oldest major garden, and also has a most unusual nature preserve: the Audubon Swamp Garden.
