Pendleton, Part 4 - Ashtabula House | Palmetto Places - Episode 4

Kaltura

The house called Ashtabula regally crowns a hilltop just outside of Pendleton. Ashtabula is a Native American word meaning “fish river.” Joanna Angle talks about history of the home, and the families who stayed there and helped shape South Carolina’s development, starting in 1828.

Today, the home is restored to the way it looked during its first forty years.
