Motion in Fitness | Math in the Middle of Motion
Running, walking, swimming and other types of exercises help to keep us healthy. In this program, we will look at how mathematics can be used for motion and fitness.
Meet Jim Tomsic, an exercise physiologist. He talks about his job duties at the Health Wellness Center which includes measurements of heart rate, cardiovascular fitness, weight, etc.
Meet Ken Taylor, a strength trainer. He talks about how he stores data for his clients and determines which equipment is the best for a client to make sure they receive the fitness results they need.
Meet Cynthia Ekman, a physical therapist. She works with patients on a daily basis to help them get stronger. She uses equipment like resistant bands to help build up strength using resistance.
