In this lesson we see how different people throughout history have shown their love for the state of South Carolina. Dr. Henry Woodward proved very valuable to the South Carolina colony because he established trade with the Native Americans among other accomplishments. Eliza Lucas introduced indigo as the colony's second money crop. Also covered is how Francis Marion captured Fort Motte.
