A tourist in Cherokee, NC is taking his daughters' picture with an "Indian Chief" who is wearing a feather headdress and is standing in front of a teepee. A Cherokee girl passes them and tells about her tribe and the other tribes that once lived in SC. The purpose of this episode is to show that the Cherokees, who were the major Native American tribe in SC, were a proud group of people who preserved their heritage and culture differently than western tribes.
